dbus-tests software package provides simple interprocess messaging system (test infrastructure), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dbus-tests
dbus-tests is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dbus-tests package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dbus-tests *
You will get with dbus-tests package name, version, architecture and description in a table
